Fact about Apulia

The region of Apulia, is in southern Italy, ”the heel of the boot”. Aulia is often called ”the food storage of Italy”. Most vegetables and fruits, like tomatoes, artichokes and the lovely cactus figs are exported to other parts in Italy and abroad. Not to mention the olive oil…….
Apulia is the biggest producer of olive oil in Italy. The olive trees are literally everywhere!

Apulia is also one of the biggest producers of dairy products in Italy. Mozzarella,
Scamorza, Pecorino, ricotta just to name a few.

Wine yards and a big wine production is also important for Apulia. The main grapes you can find here is Primitivo, Negroamaro and Malvasia.

The climate is very hot and dry during the summer 6 months and very comfortable during the winter. Over 300 sunny days a year makes the vegetables, olive trees as well as holiday makers love it here! You are never far from the beach (and you can find your own private!) as the crystal clear water is found on both sides of Apulia.
